SNõõPER GUARD DOG

Restless Nashville four-piece Snõõper are growing up - but most importantly, having fun - on their new single 'Guard Dog'. The track follows 'Worldwide', the first single to be shared from their upcoming album of the same name. 'Guard Dog' carries the same immediate energy of feeling as though you're in the room with your favourite band, energised by the blazing fervour of hoppy percussion and overstimulated riffs that feel as though they're being blasted through a PA system. Vocalist Blair Tramel cuts through the instrumental blur with surgical confidence, delivering lines with the assurance of someone who's already won the argument as she asserts:  'Contradiction / Lifestyle / Stick here for awhile / Believe it true! / Told me what to do? / Dogs only bark when I'm with you.'  In her own words, Tramel says, "Guard Dog‘ is about growth. It’s about the discomfort of feeling too comfortable and recognising when to make a change. It’s about second guessing yourself, overthinking, trust and distrust, and keeping it moving. It’s about losing and gaining perspective, having a voice, and learning how to use it. Mostly though, it's about having fun - which is the most important thing.” As Tramel suggests, fun is the driving force. With the adrenalised momentum of 'Guard Dog', Snõõper makes moving forward feel like a breeze. -Kayla Sandiford
